Our brand is a continually evolving creature, but essentially it stands for a fun (some would say cheeky) approach to life, not taking ourselves too seriously, but being very serious when it comes to providing you with great products and experiences and delivering fantastic customer service.

We believe that the sports retail industry in Australia needed a bit of a shake up and online retailing was the way to do it. We want onsport.com.au to become the go-to online address for sporting products and experiences. We also want to bring back a real focus on customer service and build a sports retail brand that is as passionate and engaged in sport as our customers are.

onsport.com.au takes its responsibility as an Australian retailer very seriously. So seriously in fact that we became a member of the Australian Sporting Goods Association (ASGA) a year before we launched our website. We believe that online retailing forms a crucial part of the broader retail industry in Australia and we want to do our bit to promote the advantages of having a strong and thriving e-tailing environment here in Australia.

We’ve assembled a team that brings together a broad range of commercial, technical and creative skills, combined with a passion for sport and 100% dedication to making onsport.com.au THE destination for online sporting product and experiences in Australia.
Andrew - Founder & Director
Andrew is passionate about all things sport and everything web. This makes his decision to co-found Australia’s online sports marketplace either a massive stroke of luck or pure genius. We like to think it’s the latter. Previously he spent a few years collecting degrees and working in corporate Australia, but is now putting that learning into practice, as well as letting his long-hidden creative side flourish.
Andrew plays in various sports teams around Sydney and spends a lot of time reading and researching the latest in online retailing when he’s not ‘working’. He’s a passionate Pies fan (every business needs at least one), but he can also be found cheering on the Wallabies, Socceroos, the Australian cricket team and any other team that plays in green and gold.
Matt – Founder & Director
Although born in London, Matt has 'gone native' and has called Sydney home for the past 10 years. In a previous life, he had a number of senior product, marketing and business development roles in financial services, but after 15 years realized that he didn’t like wearing a suit and tie everyday… or financial services. Matt is an all-round sports fan (some would say just round) and is on a mission to be in Rio when the Socceroos (or England) win the FIFA 2014 World Cup.
Matt’s primary role at onsport.com.au is business development, whether that be doing deals with sports partners, such as major venues, teams and sporting personalities or corporate partnerships and sponsors. The rest of the team are happy with this as they generally like to keep him away from anything technical, which is ironic really, it being a web business!
Clare – Business Development Manager
Clare is the dark horse of the team and claims to have never been photographed prior to joining onsport.com.au (although she does a great silhouette). Clare’s been running a football (or soccer?) retail business in Sydney for the past 4 years. Her sporting passion is also the round ball game, although she also feels the need to run from Manly to the Spit on a regular basis. At onsport.com.au, Clare manages the ongoing relationships with our sports partners and provides invaluable (and sometimes unbelievable) insight into the very complex logic of the female shopper.
Jenny – Customer Service Manager
Jenny is in charge of our very friendly and efficient customer service team, who are responsible for helping you get the most out of onsport.com.au. If the team don't answer the phone when you call the only reason will be that they're already busy helping out other onsport.com.au customers. Don't worry though, if you leave a message it will soon be your turn and it will be worth the wait!
The team is based just up the road from the stunning Mona Vale beach. If everyone worked that close to the sun, sand and surf, we’d all be as happy as Jenny and her team. If you look really closely some days you may just be able to see Jenny on her evening walk along the beach - fully kitted out in onsport.com.au product of course.
Neil – Logistics Manager
Neil is commonly described as a logistical genius, but we respect him more for his ability to reverse park a forklift, with one hand whilst singing Welsh rugby songs (within all OH&S guidelines naturally). If you order products that are sent out from our Warriewood Distribution Centre, then it’s Neil and his team that make sure it’s carefully picked, packed and sent to your doorstep as quickly as possible.
Kirstin - PR Manager
Kirstin is an honorary member of staff, but she loves onsport.com.au, sport and telling everyone she meets about us. Kirstin is our very media-friendly PR Manager and expert Tweeter. If the reason you're on our site is because you read, heard or saw something about onsport.com.au in the media, then there's a very high chance that Kirstin and her team had something to do with it.
Jesse - Intern
Jesse joined the onsport.com.au adventure a few weeks prior to launch and now fully understands the term ‘dropped in at the deep end’. He already has a commerce Degree and is currently studying Sports Business Management at the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE). He’s another big fan of all sports, but his passion is the English Premier League. Unfortunately he has received some bad advice in the past and supports Manchester United. @Jesse is borderline Gen Y, which means we only talk to him via email, SMS or Facebook. Sometimes we only communicate via RT’s. #honest. Jesse gets involved with anything and everything because that’s what a good internship is all about.
Ellie & Olly – Product Testers
We take our market research very seriously indeed, so have hired* Ellie (4.5yrs old) and Olly (2yrs old) to help us test and select our product range. The process is simple – if they fight over it we stock it, if they play with the box we don’t. These product munchkins (it’s a technical retailing term) also test the durability of all products and only those lasting for more than 2 hours of intense toddler treatment make it on to the site.
*We are of course only joking here, we haven’t actually hired kids. They donate some of their playtime to the business, in return for the sheer enjoyment of being surrounded by thousands of cardboard boxes, bright green onsport.com.au stickers and the odd Freddo.
