Saucony Guide ISO 2 Overview
The recently announced Saucony Guide ISO 2 is one of a number of new running shoe model announcements by Saucony this Spring 2018 in Australia (Fall in the US).
Saucony debuted the ISO upgrade to the popular Saucony Guide running shoe at the 2017 NYC Marathon in November 2017. The successor to the Guide ISO, the Guide ISO 2 incorporates a few subtle changes to improve upon an already great (IMHO) guidance/stability running shoe.

Saucony Guide ISO 2 Overview
The Saucony Guide ISO 2 is a cushioned stability running shoe offering road runners (meep meep!) with mild to severe levels of overpronation with support during running and other sports via the 2nd density medial post on the inside midsole in order to counter inward rotation forces generated by lateral heel striking, for those who naturally heel strike when they run, or for longer distance events where runners tend to heel strike as the race goes on when they can tire and experience form breakdown.
The Guide ISO 2 has a slightly softer than average stride response, allowing for a slightly higher than average impact absorption and energy return and a middle-of-the-road (pardon the pun!) pressure reduction level. The Guide ISO 2's sole has been designed to disperse impact forces whilst providing flexibility through the saw-tooth design Saucony call TRI-FLEX.
Weighing in at just 292 grams for the men's Guide ISO 2 and just 255 grams for the women's Guide ISO 2, it is lightweight for the guidance category which is handy if you're covering a lot of kms in training. With a heel to toe offset (drop) of 8mm, the Guide ISO 2 caters for both heel and mid-foot strikers.
The Guide ISO 2 continues to incorporate the delightful EVERUN topsole and PWRFOAM midsole that the Guide ISO included, for plush cushioning and energy return.
